The MaCaW Launch Event, held at UCLan, was a very positive start for our new ERDF Carbon Reduction Project targeting Lancashire SME’s.

Hosted by Dr Karl Williams (Director of the UCLan Centre for Waste Management), the delegates and SME’s were able to gain insight into how the current UK energy market affects SME’s through guest speakers Antoni Squires of Future Energy and Andrew Warner of Green Technologies and Solutions.

The group completed a hands on task around ‘life cycle thinking’ (LCT) supported by the MaCaW project team. The project aims to install the ethos of LCT into each SME, whilst also highlighting how behavioural change or new low-carbon technology can benefit business practices.

We would like to again thank all attendees to our launch and we are excited to hit the ground running and get started with the MaCaW project!
